Thank you for coming to this page and letting us know your thoughts on what is going on.

Tell us what you think, how we are doing with Shotgun and if you like the cam we have set up.   We want to know!  good or bad.

It is very important that we know if we are doing everything we can to show our supports that each of you are very important to what we do here at RVHR.

Leave us a note, thoughts and any questions  on the case in general or what you see.  I will be checking this often and putting up updates for you.  We have also been putting up updates on facebook the general public but yours will be answered here first.

Thank you so much for all you are doing to help us help Shotgun and now these new horses in need.

  1. Morning everyone. Just in case you are wondering. I have the lead ropes on the new babies to help them learn to give to pressure. This will aid us in handling them right now they are a little on the wild side mostly Fergie and Rockelle. Ray told me before heading to bed (our night watchmen) he still had to help Shotgun get up twice last night but he is enjoying having his new stall buddy Princeton with him. I am hoping shotgun will teach Princeton what the grain is for. All we can get Princeton to eat is hay. If you watch you might notice that he keeps trying to nurse on shotgun. Poor baby. Pat

    1. Hi Pat,hi Kat,

Thank you soooo much for taking time you don’t have to update us on everyone’s progress! I read the updates and worry and rejoice with you as I’m sure everyone else does. I can’t wait to volunteer and am looking forward to meeting everyone

  2. Here is the nightly update: Shotgun has a new roommate. His name is Princeton. Getting Shotgun up today was better. He still needs some assistance, but it seems to be getting easier. His legs are healing up well. His hip wounds are just about healed. He continues to eat well, in fact when I was feeding the other horses, he put his head out of the stall, and gave me a look as to say “Where’s mine?”. He had just eaten. He ran outside today, yes I said ran. Better and Better each day. Love the little fella.

  3. Everyone if you are still coming to this page to check for updates will you send me a reply. I like to get a count of who is still using it and see if we still need to add our updates here.

    1. Hey Pat
Charlie and I check this page and facebook to keep up with the updates. Speaking for us either one is fine just let us know which one you choose so we can continue to check Shotguns progress and get the latest news from the barn. Thank you guys again for all you do.

    2. We check in regularly and appreciate this page. Thank you so much for making it available!

  4. So, another busy weekend here at the rescue. 11 intakes. All are thin, eating everything we offer. 3 babies, 2 studs. So, you may notice that Jasmine and Roman are not in their stall. We have moved them to allow room for the new babies. We will change things around tomorrow when it is daytime and hopefully not raining. Thanks to Kate, Mattie, and Angie and Gabby for the hard work this weekend. Pat and Jason could not have done this as efficiently as they did without you.
I was told by a very special person that I was spoiling Shotgun. Well then, who bought him indoor-outdoor carpet for his stall? The reason (I was told, is to help him with traction, so he can get up better.) It seems to help, but I am not the only one spoiling him around here. He deserves it, and when he gets better, boy are we going to have our hands full! He still has a fever. 101.3. He is still taking his antibiotics. He looks good, and I noticed some muscle on his legs tonight.
Roman is beginning to take to his bottle. Thanks to Angie’s girls. They got him to drink 1 1/2 bottles today.
So, all is well around here. More in the morning.

    1. It is wonderful that Shotgun is getting well enough to be spoiled. =)
What do you need for the new babies? I can see that they are thin but don’t seem as ill as poor Shotgun was when he arrived, thank god. It does not appear that you have to worry so much about refeeding syndrome with them but are they going to have to have the very careful approach that Shotgun has required?
      You are all awesome!

  5. Sorry everyone been a long day again around here. Kat’s been off all day and will back tomorrow night at 5pm. Shotgun is fine still running a fever it’s been going up and down todays has been at a steady 101. Roman has been drink a bit from the bottle not much Jasmine has a little milk but not a lot. Roman is nibbling on the hay & soaked soupy grain but eating mostly mom’s manure. He does seem to be getting the nutrition that he needs for the moment.

As I am sure if you were watching the camera’s today there were a whole lot of horses going in and out of Isabella’s stall today. We have 11 new intakes all ranging from 1 to 4 on the body scale. The owner released them to RVHR to avoid charges. There are Mare’s, 2 gelding, mare with foal, 2 foals about 6 months, 2 18 month old stud colts. Most of the horses are 7 and under. Just sad. None of these are from the horses that were with shotgun or Jasmine. Once again we can use help with feed purchase and Hay. Another herd that’s been out there not being fed.
Will update again tomorrow. Thank you everyone.

  6. Good evening. Here is the latest update. We weighed Shotgun today, and he has gained 2 lbs.!!!He has gone outside twice today, and grazed on grass. He had some great visitors today. His skin is looking better and he does not have a fever today. After his Rosewater bath today, he went into his newly cleaned stall, and kicked up his heels!

Jasmine is doing good. She is a very protective Mom. Roman weighs 75 pounds, and is beginning to take to the bottle. He got some great presents today of milk, nipples,. He shows me that he is mad at me after I feed him by kicking at me. I already have to correct him! He visited with Shotgun for a while today. They had fun chasing each other around.

Isabella now weighs 1389 lbs. Can you say diet? She is doing fine also.

So, that’s all for the night. I’m going home to bed, after nearly killing myself on the tractor today. I can’t wait for next week when hay cutting starts. Please say a little prayer for me and the tractor.

All the horses have 2 great nurses tonight.

    1. Is there an available paddock that Isabelle can go in for a bit to stretch her legs, jog & gallop some?

      1. Jane, Yes Isabella does get to go out into the other paddock. It is right outside her large door which you might not be able to see from the cam it is off on the right. WE also have a young lady that comes and takes her out each day for a walk in the grass around the facility as we do with shotgun. Pat

  7. Rhonda and I just got back from RVHR. We stopped by the local Tractor Supply and picked up some more ointment for Shotgun’s wounds and scabs. We also picked up a variety of different powdered milks and some lamb-sized nipples that Roman might accept more consistently. Rhonda took Shotgun out on a lead and let him get some exercise and graze in the circle up near the parking area, this freed up the RVHR staff to do some other things, and take a little break. We were told his fever was down, but by the time we left this morning, they hadn’t re-checked. Shotgun was lying in the sun outside his stall, letting his breakfast digest when we left. If you are a donor to Shogun’s aid, and you are nearby, Pat said you are more than welcome to call, and then come by.

  8. Good Evening everyone. Here’s the update on the guys and gals. Shotgun had a good day. He only laid down twice today, and the last time it only took little ole me to get him up. He has some skin tears on his legs, which we are treating with tea tree cream, and a salve that a special person made for us. Roman is beginning to like his cow mama milk. Jasmine is still being a great Mama. She seems to be getting a little bit of milk, hopefully the medicine will start working soon. So, another update tomorrow. Everyone have a good night.-Kat

    1. Great job RVHR! Thanks for posting updates. I check the cams often to see how they are doing. Roman seems to like the salt block. He is a little cutie. Jasmine is sweet. Shotgun stole my heart:)

  9. Sorry guys. It has been another busy day here at the rescue. As for Shotgun, he has no fever this morning. We are continuing with the antibiotics. He went for his morning stroll around the facility, and munched on the grass. Jasmine is holding her own. Roman has had a great donation of fresh cow’s milk, and we are giving him this. Roman is being frisky running around the stall, and going outside. So all in all a pretty good morning.

    1. Sounds good. I saw Roman getting his bottle. He looks pretty spunky too!
You are all wonderful and it is great to see all of the gang improving daily.

  10. The only “grandstanding” RVHR has ever, will ever and presently does is when an emaciated horse STANDS on it’s own they all cheer “isn’t that GRAND?”

  11. So sorry to hear about Shotgun’s fever and Jasmine not being able to nurse Roman. Fervent prayers for all and special wisdom for the caregivers.

  12. Well everyone we had a few good days and now it’s downhill again on Shotgun. He has been running a fever up and down for the past 3 days he is now on antibiotics to help with infection. We are not sure where it is coming from but something is going on. As we deal with Shotguns issues. WE are also dealing with Jasmine and the baby they are not doing well either. Jasmine is not making milk to feed Roman due to the starvation she has endured so we have her on Equidone which stimulates milk production with no signs of improvement so we are now trying to get Roman to nurse from a bottle which he is having nothing to do with. Will update again later Pat.

    1. I have heard of foals being taught to drink from a bucket or pan. You may have already tried that I dont know just want to help any way I can.

  13. GREAT NEWS everyone! SHOTGUN got himself up on his own this morning! YAH Happy happy joy joy!

  14. Morning everyone! It is Tuesday May 14th, Shotgun is doing ok she has been running a fever for the past 2 days it has been going up and down. We have him on SMZ and His vet is schedule to come out again today. So hopefully we can find out what is causing the fever. Infections somewhere. He been spending his day hours outside in his paddock and we have been bring him in at night and keep a blanket on him. Been cold at night over here. In the morning he gets to go with us to feed the rest of the herd here. He has been enjoying the long walk and whinning to all of them. We will keep you posted after the vet see’s him today. Pat.

  15. Pat and Kat –
I have been following Shotgun’s story since Erin Barnett WSLS first reported it on May 3 (and again May 10). Even though I am unable to view the web cam, I so very much appreciate all the updates posted here, they help me feel connected. Shotgun’s story has touched me like no other, and he has stolen my heart. Thanks to all his caregivers for helping give him a chance for a good life. I look forward to the day when I’ll be able to visit and pet Shotgun a little bit.

  16. Shotgun’s update. Today he helped feed all the other horses at the rescue. He followed Pat and Hannah around with the feed cart. He is doing well with getting up, still needs some help, but is getting better. His temperature is still slightly up. We will continue to give him antibiotics. He really doesn’t like having his temperature taken. He also thinks that he is the center of attention (which he is). I was working with Roman, and he had his head up and sticking out of the stall, and looking at me as is to say ” I’m still the baby.” I really love this little guy.-Kat

    1. It is great to hear these stories about Shotgun. Though I check often , I miss the cute things that happen outside of the stall. He seems stronger and his displays of personality reflect that he is feeling better.
Thank you for all your hard work and for the updates!

  17. Good morning everyone. This is pat with your update. I am just getting up to relieve Raymond who has been on night watch. He said all is well Shotgun has been up most of the night rested 3 times. Again Ray still had to help him get back up. Shotgun is getting restless being locked in the stall now. So the plan for today is to open his stall door and let him outside in the little paddock area that adjoins his stall it is a 48×12 area so for those checking the camera if you don’t see him that is where he will be. (if anyone has or would like to donate a outdoor wireless Camera we would love to have one to set up outside for him. Just let me know at plmuncy@rvhr.com) He needs some sun time and room to move around. Let’s hope he doesn’t roll in the muddy spots. (like he’s not going to first chance he gets.) We will post again later on today.

  18. This is my last update for the night. Shotgun has had another busy day. We had a great open house, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you. Thanks for your continued support. He is running a slight fever, but we are monitoring this, and have started him on antibiotics. He still is showing some spunk, and when he went for his nightly stroll, he kicked up his heels. Funny, funny man. This has been an exciting and busy weekend. We had a new baby, and another one shortly. We believe Isabella is in early labor. Oh, and another thing. He really doesn’t like having his temperature taken, he tried to kick me! So, if you see us correcting him, it is to remind him that he is a horse. Goodnight all.

  19. Just another quick update. We are now trying to get Shotgun to stand on his own, because he has the strength, so you will see us giving him pats on his rump. This is not to be mean, but to get him mad at us, so he will get up on his own. If you watch him, you can see him getting mad at us at times. He will paw at the ground at feeding time, because we are no longer holding his feed bucket for him. We have to remind him that he is a horse. Just relax and enjoy him. His personality is really beginning to show.

  20. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. Amidst all of the excitement of a new colt coming into this world, Shotgun let us know that he is still number 1. He pouted a bit when the attention was on someone else. After Mama and Baby had bonded, we let Shotgun go for a little visit. He sniffed at Roman, and did his mouth “I’m the baby”, while Roman did the same to him. After a thorough inspection of the barn, he went back to his stall, ate a bit and laid down. We are preparing for another busy day. Come on out and visit with our Star and newest arrival.

  21. Morning everyone it is 1:51 am on Mothers Day and Jasmine has a new son. He was born at 12:56 am. Photo’s can be seen on our facebook page. So far so good he looks good. Mom did a great job had him in this world in less than 15 minutes.

  22. Here is Shotgun’s update. Sorry it has taken so long to give this today. He had a very busy day with all of his visitors, and enjoyed seeing everyone. He is doing better with getting up. I hope you have noticed that he is lying down more normally. We let him walk through the barn as per his usual routine, and he got mad at me and stomped his feet when I put him back in his stall. Can you say “spoiled”?.

    1. We saw the stomp, then he jumped and shook his head. Made us laugh. We really enjoyed seeing him and all the other horses today.

  23. Everyone update will be slow today due to the Open House, Tack and Yard Sale. So if your not doing anything today come on by from 11am to 4pm.

    1. It was really nice to meet everyone today at the open house. Thanks for letting us meet Shotgun – Rhonda and I had a great time (despite the tears!)

  24. This is Kat with a medical update on Shotgun. The lab work showed that his protein and albumin levels are low, which is indicative of starvation. All is other levels are within normal limits. His sodium and potassium levels are slightly elevated, but is probably due to dehydration. His liver enzymes are low which may indicate impaired liver function. We are watching for any signs of jaundice. Dr. Sumners said to continue with what we are doing. We are going to start him on baby food carrots.

  25. Everyone we have been asked from so many of you what can you do? What does Shotgun need. As of today we are in need of Alfalfa hay for him. As we have gotten donated from some of you Alfalfa Cubes and pellets right now they are still to hard for him to chew and he doesn’t care for them soaked. So we have had to start purchasing Alfalfa baled hay for him. So we do need more of that along with the normal feed and bedding.
Another thing we need if you have seen the webcam we have changed his lifting straps we are using girths so if anyone has some of the larger western soft girths we can use those. He is still unable to get up on his backend so we are still having to lift him when he lies down.
Also today I spoke with the Penny at Pell Animal Clinic (Farm Vet Services) and what you can do if you like is give them a call at 540-483-7444 and make a donation via CC towards his ongoing vet bills. They will be happy to add your donations of funds to RVHR account for him vet care.
Ok that’s it for me for tonight been a really long day taking care of shotgun and Jasmine today along with working on getting the facility ready for the open house this weekend. We hope to see as many as you possible this weekend. Thank you for all everyone is doing to help us help these horses.
Have a wonderful night. – Patricia L. Muncy

    Also Today 5/10/2013 –
Everyone I just made a call to our local tractor supply here in Rocky Mount and they have a stack of the cubed Alfalfa hay that Shotgun is eating right now. If you like to donate 1 the cost is $17.99 + tax. The Item number is 1009048. You need to ask for Ken or Trina they are the mangers and are aware that they may be getting some calls from Shotguns Angels/Donors the number is 540-334-1109.
If you do donate a bale to shotgun let me know at plmuncy@rvhr.com I will send you the info and directions for Shotguns webcam and I will know ahead of time how many I will be picking up.

  26. This is Nicole again. updating about our night. Shotgun ate all his grain at 12 and 4am. He has been standing in the stall since 3:15am. Each time we assist him to get up he tries a little bit more to do it on his own. It’s been a good night and we are gearing up for a good day. 🙂

    1. Is everything OK? I see that he is lying down, hopefully just resting. He seems to have been moving around more today.
Any news yet on his labs from the vet?
Thanks for giving him such good care.

  27. Hey everyone, this is Nicole McGovern. I will be babysitting shotgun tonight while everyone else catches up on some sleep. Bare with me as I am still learning where to post updates. Shotgun has laid down twice this evening to rest his legs. and for good reason, he got a haircut today! Or half of one. We plan to shave the rest of him because the matted hair is pulling on his skin and causing sores. He has been munching on his hay and eating grain. He even drank all his blue gatorade for me this evening. Right now he is in the stall with Nellie. I’ll be here to watch over him all night as he sleeps and spoil him when i can. More update to come. 🙂

  28. Hi,
I am extremely interested in Shotgun’s progress. I can not seem to access the cams. I know that you are very busy but am wondering what is happening…
How is everyone doing? The newest arrivals are also of great interest. You are all wonderful angels. Thank you for all that you do.

  29. Update on Cam’s With Shotgun is Nellie Mini – With Isabella is Esel the donkey – With Jasmine is wiley mini

  30. Shotgun seems to be getting more comfortable with laying down when he gets tired. Nellie seems to think the hay tote is hers and Shotgun not paying much attention to that. I like how Nellie watches over Shotgun when he lays down. Can you tell us more about Jasmine? Was she a reported case also?

    1. Sandra, She is so sweet with him. He has finally been lying more each day which is great. He is still can’t get up on his own but working on it each time.
Jasmine is a sweet mare about 20 Had her vetted yesterday. With her is Wiley another of our mini’s for company.

  31. 5/7/2013 Evening everyone. This is Pat Muncy I been doing day watch. I sure the cams have mixed everyone up. we have upgrade the cams so Shotgun now has the higher rez and better video for you. The next cam you see is Jasmine which we will be moving her to the birthing stall here soon. The vet was out the foal is alive no telling because the body condition when she will foal but the vet did say looks soon. The next cam that will be going in will be Isabella she is due in a few weeks.

Blood was drawn on Shotgun today will be have the results back in the morning will update again.

  32. I do not think you are “grandstanding” this horse at all. I think that Shotgun can be the face of the other abused and neglected horses. He can be your representative that helps bring more awareness to this problem and the needs of organizations such as yours. Bless all involved with taking care of these beautiful horses!

  33. Woops – I meant Jasmine’s pregnancy check!
I see that Shotgun is now up and on Jasmine’s Cam. Nellie is in there with him. He looks a little hungry – so please tell her to share!

  34. Being far away, it is nice to access the Cam at any time to see how Shotgun is doing. It’s almost like being there – to witness his daily life, successes, and struggles. He has the spirit and God willing – the strength to get better.
I checked on Isabelle (who was on Shotgun’s Cam) and witnessed a pregnancy check (I think) in action. Hope that she and the foal are OK. Last I saw, Shotgun was lying down, but he isn’t on either Cam right now. Hope he’s OK too!!!
Thank you for providing the care and love that these beautiful horses truly deserve.

    1. Pam everyone is fine. Shotgun got his blood work done again today the cams should be up and running again. We purchased a upgrade camera for Shotgun so the names were a little mixed up there I think I got the all fixed now. The mare is Jasmine she came in last night and yes that was the vet check to make sure the foal was still alive. It is kicking around. Now we wait.

  35. I think the cam is an awesome idea! it gives those of us that have donated the chance to follow Shotgun through his progress and to know that we had a part in his recovery. Thank you all for your dedication to helping our four legged friends!

    1. Shotgun did well yesterday. He stayed up in his stall until 6am this morning. Once he indicated that he was very tired, we placed him in the medical hoist for 6hrs. to give his little legs a rest. He will lie down, but only for about 15 minutes, so his body needed a rest. He is beginning to really show his personality, and it is an inquisitive and mischevious one!

  36. Everyone you will see that a new camera choice on your page when you login to see shotgun. This new camera is set up for our newest arrival Jasmine she came in today at 5pm. She is a 2 on the scale and carrying a foal and due anytime. So please feel free to view this cam also. Tomorrow we will setting up one more camera for our mare her Isabella who also is in foal.

  37. If publicizing the neglect and abuse of an innocent animal, and chronicling his recovery helps fund both his care and the care of too many other like him – than that has to be a good thing! Not to mention that you aren’t ‘pushing’ the Shotgun cam on anyone that does not want to see it. The only people that have access are donors, and they can (if they choose) log in … my wife and I do several times a day!

    1. Charlie,
The hope is that awareness will be raised, and if horse owners who can’t take care of their horses, know that there is a place that they can go for help, then this is all worth it. Also, to raise the public awareness of the need to call the authorities, if they see a horse in distress. Thanks for your support.

  38. When Jesus said “what you do to the least of these, you also do to me” did not only mean people but all of God’s creatures. Thank you for helping this creature of God’s.

  39. Thank you for the updates and barncam for Shotgun. My daughter and I love to check on him throughout the day.

  40. Its 524 pm on Monday and we just put our little mascot Nellie in with Shotgun for company. Nellie is only 11 months old we wanted to give him some company. If she starts to pick on she will come back out. But the first thing she did was the mouthing that she is a baby to him and he did it back to her.

  41. I love being able to check-in on Shotgun. Thank you for putting up notes in his stall such as “Shotgun is just resting” so we won’t worry needlessly! Thank you for loving this little guy and taking such good care of him. He seems so sweet.

  42. I like the webcam for Shotgun. I usually watch pregnant mares on a cam, but its nice to see what Shotgun is up to.
I do not consider it *grandstanding * at all. As a donor to several horses, its nice to see first hand their activity when we can not go visit.
while his condition is serious from being starved, then also, starved at such a young age, I pray for him but realize from seeing other horses that no matter what we do; they may have their organs compromised, and die unexpectedly any time. I am glad he has been given a chance at life and to let him know he is loved. He deserves that, and may he flourish to live a long life. Prayers for Shotgun.

    1. Nona,
Well, we have one pregnant mare on the cam. Her name is Jasmine, and you can access it with Shotgun’s cam. Also, later today, the other pregnant mare will be on the cam. Her name is Isabella. Stay watching for exciting events. Please be aware that the mare Jasmine is also a starvation case, and we are anticipating a delivery soon!

  43. I cannot access the web cam – but it sounds like a neat idea for those who can see it — NO! this is not grandstanding! You are not only helping Shotgun, but potentially many, many other horses – it will raise awareness and perhaps encourage someone who can’t take care of their horse properly to ask for help before it is too late. And also, to call attention to the other horses who need homes and help and donations – maybe their circumstances aren’t are dire as Shotgun’s is, but they need help too – as does RVHR – if RVHR doesn’t have enough funding then they won’t be able to help horses like Shotgun.

  44. Thank you everyone. If you have checked in on him today you can see he has a lot more energy this morning. We went ahead an let him stay in the stall last night. He lied down at 10pm and we had to pick him back up at 11pm. So that was an hour off those legs. The he lied down again from 2pm to 2:45 another 45 minutes and we got him up again.

Once he can get down and up on his own we can move his chances from 50/50 to a higher number.

He is eating well every 6 to 8 hours now full meals and eating his hay like it is going out of still.

  45. Do you think or feel doing the cam might be just to much as someone put “Grand Standing of this poor horse for money”?

Grandstanding????? No, I don’t think that. I love it that your message came to me and that I am able to help a little. This sort of communication is one of the best and highest uses of FaceBook. Thank you for all you do.

  46. Thank you for posting the pictures and updates. I don’t see it as grandstanding at all but a way for concerned donors to see how he is doing.
I am rooting for Shotgun’s recovery- so glad that he is in your hands.

  47. He seems so weak. I worry that he may have difficulty bonding with others, due to his young age and separation from other horses.
In the initial photo he looked older but in the webcam he looks very young.
Is he quarantined? Can he have a older mare in the stall with him?
Is he eating ok? He is in our thoughts and prayers. Be strong little guy, life is going to improve for you now. Thank you RVHR, you are truly a blessing for all horses and foals.

    1. Darrel, He is very weak yet that is why we have the harness on him so when we do lye him down to rest his legs we can pick him back up. He can not yet get up on his own. Shotgun will be a year old on mothers day. His body size is of a 3 month old new born horse. This is because of the starvation his growth is now stunted. He is in the medical care section just outside his door are is 3 other full size horses one which you can’t see in the cam is normal at the outside door by him. We have had to move this horses hay and water by the door for him. He is baby sitting him. Once he can move on his own we will be letting him out with the other but that will be a while yet. It’s up to him he is getting stronger each day.

      1. This is not grandstanding, it’s keeping the people that are concerned for him updated and I very much appreciate it. I check the cam at least 3-4 times a day just to see how he is doing. Thank you and all the volunteers for taking care of him. If we lived closer (we live 65 miles away) we would volunteer, we have 2 horses of our own and they’re a lot of work! I noticed a couple of days ago that his chances were 50/50, have they improved and will his growth be stunted permanently? Again, thanks for taking care of him.

        1. Faye,
Yes, his growth will be stunted due to the starvation. As of now, his chances are still 50/50. Once he can lie down and get back up on his own, we can reassess his chances. Thanks for keeping up with him. We just love this little guy!

  48. i love the Shotgum cam and being able to see him. I would like to know what he is eating now. it seems like he cannot stay out of the blue bin in his stall. I am just glad he was found when he was. Thank you for caring for Shotgun and all the others.

    1. Sandra, In the blue tote is 3 kinds of hay. Alfalfa, Timothy and orchard he has 3 choices to pick from and loving every bite of it. On the left is 5 large square bales he picks at also.

  49. Hi

Thank you SO much for sharing the link so we can see shotgun…

I would have to say, the only thing I would like is more info on what is happening… Do I see an IV bag on him? I thought it was gone last night… etc. simple updates… Someplace to comment and read other’s comments about what is going on.

What a dolly, keep up the good work! Love to be able to see him! Have checked on him 4x in 2 days! 🙂

    1. Gayle you are very welcome. This why I set up this page just to keep everyone updated when they have questions. Right now he is resting finally after being on those legs since 11am. The test is to see if he might now have the strength to get back on his own. The harness you see on him is so we can pick him back up easily without pulling out our backs. That will remain on him until he can get up on his own.

    2. Gayle,
You can go to our facebook page to see other comments. It is rvhr/facebook.com. Thank you for keeping up with him. No, he had 1 IV given to him on site before he was transported. He is slowly beginning to drink more water, but he Loves grape gatorade. The harness is becoming more snug, so this is a good indication that he is gaining weight. We will weigh him shortly.
