Thank you for inquiring about taking in an RVHR rescue horse.  NOTE: Once you submit this application you should get a reply confirmation from RVHR within 48 hours if you do not get a reply please email us at info@rvhr.com.  All applications for PA horses will be held until the quarantine days at which time we will review all applications for consideration of adoption.

Before filling this out you must know the following:

If you are inquiring about 2 horses you must submit an application and fee for each horse.  <-(This does not apply for PA Horses)  Some of our horses are turned out on pasture not at the RVHR facility and we may need to make arrangements to bring a horse back to the facility for your Meet and Greet.

Meet and Greets are scheduled on Monday thru Friday from 1pm to 4pm and on Saturday and Sundays 10am to 3pm ONLY

The below does not apply if you are filling this out for one of the PA Horses.

Once we receive your pre-adoption application RVHR will place horse(s) into pending for ONLY 10 days per application submission date.  You will need to schedule your Meet and Greet with in 10 days.  An RVHR representative will contact you via email to setup your day.

Please complete and submit one application per horse you would like to schedule a meet and greet with.  Along with the $25.00 non-refundable scheduling fee per horse.

After your meet and greet with a horse, we ask that you let us know within 5 days if you like to continue with your adoption of the horse.  Once you let us know we will send you a full RVHR adoption application this will need to be completed and returned to us within 10 days from the date we emailed it to you.

Once we receive your full application it will be submitted to the Board for approval.  The Board will set your final adoption fee.  Once approved you have 30 days to complete a required 3 hours with the horse and take your horse home.  Yes, you can use the 30 days to spend as much time with the horse to make sure it is a good match.  We ask that you let us know ASAP that the horse isn’t for you.  If the horse is not removed from RVHR after 30 days it will be placed back up for adoption.  We have to limit the amount we can hold a horse here for an adopter as we have others waiting for an open space that needs a safe place to go.
