What is RVHR?<\/strong>
\nRHVR (Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue) is a non-profit 501 c 3 organization, and\u00a0all donations are 100% tax deductible.

\nWhere does RVHR get its funding? <\/strong><\/strong>
\nRVHR\u00a0funding is from\u00a0public donations and small grants. RVHR does NOT get paid by local counties to take seized horses into the facility or programs.
\n
\nDoes RVHR work alongside Animal Control?<\/strong><\/strong>
\nYes, RVHR DOES\u00a0give first priority to assisting\u00a0Animal Control officers with\u00a0seized horses or those in\u00a0need of assistance.
\n
\nAre all horses at RVHR seized by Animal Control?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/strong>
\nNo; owner released horses ARE accepted into the RVHR Programs only when room is available and the owner agrees to donate\u00a0an intake fee (normally$500.00) to help with the horse’s care for the first few months.
\n
\nIs RVHR an equine retirement facility? <\/strong><\/strong>
\nNo, RVHR is NOT an equine retirement facility.
\n
\nDoes RVHR euthanize horses? <\/strong><\/strong>
\nYes, \u00a0at the discretion of its Board of Directors.

\nTo whom does RVHR report activity?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/strong>

\nNo, RVHR can NOT take horses in need away from their owners.<\/p>\n
