Twas the night before Christmas at RVHR

By: Angie Marshall BOD Member 2008
Out in the Paddocks and all through the barns,
Horses were contentedly munching, free of all fear and harm.

Not so long ago they had nothing to eat
No shelter from storm
No shade from the heat
Hard cruel hands or neglect was their lot
Left alone and uncared for without even a thought

No visions of sugar plums danced in their dreams
Only buckets of grain and wide pastures all green.
Now soft hands and kind voices provide good food and care,
And we hope that one day they’ll forget their despair.

Horses who once were hopeless,
now are loved because of people like you,
Who choose to make a difference in an innocent life or two.
Bless you and thank you for being willing to share and for helping us help the horses given into our care.
We hope that you and all of those you hold dear,
Will have joyous, safe Holiday and Happy New Year.
