The first annual FRANKLIN COUNTY DOG SHOW & Fundraiser

Saturday, Nov. 5

Franklin County Recreation Park on Sontag Road

Noon to 4 p.m.

Free admission. All proceeds from activity fees to benefit the Franklin County Animal Shelter and Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue in Hardy.

Register your dog for $5 fee in one of six categories: Large Breeds, Small Breeds, Cutest, Ugliest, Best Costume and Most Talented. One Best in Show Winner chosen from category winners.  Professional Judges. Emcee is Capt. Tom of B99.

Winners will receive trophies from Haywood’s Jewelers and dog gift baskets from Tractor Supply.

To register, send dog’s name and category, owner’s name and telephone number, along with $5 fee, to The Franklin News-Post, P.O. Box 250, Rocky Mount or call 540-483-5113 or email newspost2@franklinnews-post.com.

All dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and current on vaccinations. Owners are responsible for management and cleanup of their dogs.
