Volunteer at Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue Inc. and do something good for yourself and for the horses! Some hard work does your body, heart and soul good. Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue Inc. enlists the skills, diligence and expertise of a large team of volunteers that devote their time to feeding and grooming the horses, and cleaning stalls. As well as being responsible for the daily tasks of caring for the horses, volunteers work together in all areas of the organization – including office help, fundraising, special events and facility maintenance. We currently need experienced individuals who can help with office tasks, fundraising and mechanical skills. As always, we need help with barn chores and farm work seven days a week, year round. Volunteers generally help with barn chores each day, so there are plenty of opportunities to lend a hand! Horse experience is not necessary to become a volunteer at Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue Inc. RVHR welcomes volunteers with varying degrees of horse experience. Prior to your first volunteer orientation at the facility, please print off and fill out our Volunteer Application and bring it with you!
