"Together We Can Make A Difference In A Life"
RVHR is Expanding! On August 1st 2008 RVHR leased an additional 50 acres to help
the horses in need. With 38 acres of pasture we have begun to
fence in four 2 1/2 acres turn out pasture. Each turn out area
will have a 20x10 building constructed for shade for the horses.
28 acres will be used for what we need the most HAY. The last 12 acres are being logged once
completed and cleared these will also be turned into turn out areas.
We are in great need of many items for the new area from haying
equipment, fencing, wood building materials, seed and fertilizer.
Sponsor an Acre
To prepare and hay an acre we estimate a cost of $250.00, with
a yield of 75 to 100 bales in
one cut which would bring the cost of hay to $3.33 to $2.50 per
bale.
A second cut (weather permitting) $1.66 to $1.25
A third cut (weather permitting) $1.11 to $.83 Note: these amounts are the cost for weeding,
seeding and fertilizing and are lower then normal because of our
discount from suppliers the cutting cost is not included.
