QuiessenceTM
Quiessence is a high Magnesium
feed supplement in a safe, absorbable, palatable pelleted form. As well as
providing much needed Magnesium for the body, this supplement also provides
Chromium and B vitamins. Quiessence is natural with no side effects. It may help
to maintain a normal calm disposition. It may help with muscle soreness due to
normal work and exertion patterns.
In horses with a a cresty neck that might be founder-prone, Quiessence has been
shown to reduce the crestyness

What is
Quiessence™?
Quiessence is a Magnesium(Mg) based feed supplement. As well as providing much
needed Magnesium for the body, the supplement provides synergistic B vitamins
and Chromium also a mineral.
Horses who
may benefit from the feed supplement Quiessence:
Horses with
dietary concerns such as obesity or laminitic predispositions
Horses whose main diet consists of processed feed stuff
Horses grazing land known to be low in magnesium
Horses grazing on acid soils
Horses who have problems gaining or maintaining weight
Horses prone to or at risk of founder
Horses prone to cresty necks
Horses with nerve conditions

Why supplement with Magnesium for dietary concerns such as founder, obesity
or cresty necks?
In a study we conducted in 2002/2003 horses with thick cresty necks (that were
also founder prone), showed a reduction in neck thickness and hardness when fed
a magnesium supplement. The reduction in neck thickness made the horses easier
to manage and ride and handle as well being more aesthetically pleasing.
Feed Quiessence if your horse can be described as one or
more of the following :
Nervous,
tense horses which show an inability to learn and concentrate will often show
improvement if supplemented with Magnesium.
Horses which
tend to have tight tense muscles, are slow to warm up and have 'sore' or 'tight'
backs, can also show improvement if Magnesium is supplied.
Horses which
are in work, kept in stables and fed on preserved and processed foodstuffs often
benefit from Magnesium supplementation in their diets.

TractGardTM
TractGard is a mix of
electrolyte salts that help to encourage better drinking, a yeast
nitrile that improves digestion, and calcium salts to reduce excess
acidity. The increased fluid retention improves lubrication in the GI
tract. Contains: Calcium Carbonate, Diamond V Yeast, Linseed Meal and
electrolytes.

What is TractGardTM?
TractGard: GI tract re-hydrator, antacid & digestaid: Effective
agains Colic and Ulcers
This product is an Equine GI tract rehydrator,
antacid and digestaid. Designed by Melyni Worth, an equine nutritionist,
to help with excess acidity following grain feeding and to increase
fluid retention in the GI tract. TractGard will NOT interfere or react
with other supplements.
Indications are:
Before shipping or showing. At strange show grounds or other places
where your horse may not drink.
For those chilly nights in the fall or
spring when horses do not drink well.
Any time your horse may be a risk for colic - such as, but not limited
to, stress
Best fed with grain ration: it helps to minimize acidity from excess
grain.
Contains Diamond V Yeast, which will improve digestion of fiber and
protein.
Get peace of mind knowing that your horse will drink which will keep his
digesta more fluid.
Easy to feed pelleted formula. Just add to grain ration.
TractGard is a mix of mineral salts and
electrolytes, designed to pull water into the GI tract and to buffer
excess acids. Diamond V yeast to help with good digestion and Linseed
meal to provide mucilage to keep the stools soft. Diamond V also helps
with fiber and protein digestion which should result in improved
weightgain, coat condition and hoof growth with regular use of the
TractGard.
TractGard will cause your horse to drink and
hence keep more water available for digestion. Especially useful in the
fall and spring when horses often typically do not drink well. Make sure
fresh water is available to horses getting TractGard.
It keeps the digesta more fluid, and therefore
minimizes or prevents impaction colics. You will need to monitor
carefully your horse's stools and water consumption, at least in the
beginning. The more fluid digesta may result in more fluid stools, but
this is only a temporary effect. If the stools are too lose then
decrease the dosage of TractGard. Recommended increments: Start out with
about 1/2 tablespoonful (1/2 oz.) per day, than increase to up to 1/2 -
1 oz. per meal. You can go up to six tablespoonfuls, but experiment at
the recommended increments with your horse to find what dosage suits him
best.
TractGard is designed to be fed on a daily basis but can be fed on an
as needed basis quite safely.
